Job Profile & Key Responsibilities
The Executive Officer will support ICAI's committees, boards, and departments in executing mandates relating to accounting, auditing, taxation, corporate laws, and financial reporting. Depending on the department of posting, responsibilities may include:
- Technical Research, Standards & Guidance: Drafting and reviewing Accounting Standards (AS/Ind AS), Standards on Auditing (SAs), Valuation Standards, exposure drafts, and impact assessments of regulatory changes.
- Taxation & Policy Advisory: Working on Direct Tax, GST/Indirect Tax, International Taxation, and Corporate Restructuring/IBC matters; representing ICAI before CBDT, CBIC, and the Ministry of Finance.
- Review & Oversight: Reviewing financial statements and audit reports for compliance with AS/Ind AS, SAs, CARO, the Companies Act, and GST; supporting Peer Review and Quality Review processes.
- Advisory & Disciplinary Functions: Drafting technical opinions and supporting the Disciplinary Directorate in reviewing complaints and case files.
- Capacity Building & Training: Developing certificate courses, webinars, e-learning modules, and Investor Awareness Programs in association with regulators like SEBI.
- Administrative Support: Preparing committee agendas and minutes, budgeting, and supporting IT/e-learning initiatives; may also include software/tool development for the assigned Directorate.
Note: The specific role assigned to each selected candidate will depend on the department they join and will be finalised after joining.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Level: Pay Level-10 (Basic Pay ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500)
- Approximate Annual Package: ₹15.68 lakh initially
- Compensation also includes Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, and National Pension System (NPS) contribution.
