Who Is NOT Eligible
- Candidates who acquired their Degree/Diploma before April 2022.
- Candidates appearing for final-year exams or awaiting results.
- Candidates currently pursuing M.E./M.Tech.
- Candidates who have already undergone, or are currently undergoing, Apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act 1961/1973, or have one year or more of experience from any institution as an Apprentice. Combining apprenticeship across institutions is not permitted.
- Candidates who have completed five years from the month/year of passing as per their Degree/Diploma certificate. If a candidate crosses this five-year window while empanelled or waitlisted, they will not be considered for training.
Other Eligibility Notes
- Where a university mentions both CGPA and percentage of marks on the certificate/marksheet, at least one criterion (either CGPA or percentage) must meet the eligibility norm.
- Conversion of CGPA into percentage is not permitted to determine eligibility, regardless of any conversion formula prescribed by the university, unless only percentage is mentioned in the certificate.
- Priority will be given to candidates from recognised universities/State Boards of Technical Education under the Southern Region of BoAT (Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Puducherry). Candidates from other regions will be considered only if there is a shortage of applications in a discipline.
- Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
Stipend & Training Duration
- Training Duration: One year from the date of joining.
- Graduate Apprentice Stipend: ₹12,300 per month.
- Technician Apprentice Stipend: ₹10,900 per month.
- Canteen and transport facilities are admissible during the training period; accommodation must be arranged by the candidate themselves.
- Selected candidates will be registered under a contract on the NATS 2.0 portal (www.nats.education.gov.in) immediately after induction.
- Mere completion of one year of Apprenticeship training at VSSC or its units does not confer any right to permanent employment in any ISRO/Department of Space Centre or Unit.

How to Apply — Walk-In Selection Drive Process
This recruitment does not use an online application portal. Instead, candidates must follow these steps:
- Applications will be received only on the day of the Selection Drive, i.e., 25 July 2026. Applications will not be accepted through any other means.
- Report to the VSSC pavilion at Karthika Thirunal Govt V&GHSS for Girls, Manacaud, Thiruvananthapuram on 25 July 2026, between 9:30 AM and 5:00 PM.
- Carry your original documents along with self-attested photocopies of:
- B.E/B.Tech/Bachelor in Hotel Management/Non-Engineering Graduation/Diploma Certificate (Provisional/Final)
- Consolidated Mark list (Provisional/Final)
- SSLC/SSC/AISSE/ICSE certificate as proof of date of birth
- Experience Certificate, if any
- One passport-size photograph
- If applicable, also carry category-specific certificates:
- SC/ST: Valid Community/Caste Certificate issued by the Tahsildar
- OBC: Valid Non-Creamy Layer Certificate
- EWS: Valid Income & Asset Certificate for financial year 2026-27
- PWBD: Certificate of Disability issued by a competent authority

Selection Process
- Selection will be based on the highest marks scored by candidates in the relevant qualifying examination, with due weightage given to reservation categories.
- Induction against the 2026-27 training positions will be strictly based on the candidate's position in the merit panel, subject to availability of vacancies and validity of the panel.
